Meetings

St. Paul MOMs meetings are held the second Thursday of the month (September-May) from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, located at 1465 Victoria St., in St. Paul. When you arrive, you’ll see two doors facing the parking lot. Use the one to the right (look for signs on the door) and inside you’ll find a welcome table where you can sign in and get pointed in the right direction.

Meeting schedule for 2011-12:

From 6:30-7:30 p.m., we offer small group meetings according to the age of your multiples. We currently have two small groups: the New MOMs small group, for members who are either pregnant with multiples or have multiples under the age of three; and the MOMs 3 and Up, for members with multiples ages three or older. (We also have a subgroup for MOMs of special needs multiples which meets at other times.) During the small group meetings, you’ll have the opportunity to network with other MOMs who have children around the same age as yours. Some meetings will feature speakers on specific topics, and others will simply be a time to share ideas and strategies on issues related to raising multiples. For new MOMs who don’t have a lot of free time on their hands (or need to get home to hungry babies), you are perfectly welcome to just come to the small group meeting then head home whenever you need.

From 7:30-8:00 p.m. we hold our Business Meeting. Please see our Bylaws and Standing Rules. As a paid member of St. Paul Mothers of Multiples, you are entitled to one vote on business matters.

From 8:00-9:00 p.m. we hold a Main Meeting with all members. This time offers another opportunity to network with other MOMs, and can focus on topics such as childrearing, parenting, health and nutrition, or self-improvement, among others. Again, some meetings will feature speakers, while others will be member-led.

After our St. Paul MOMs meetings, many members go to a local restaurant/bar for what we call “MOMs Night Out,” a chance to socialize and relax with fellow MOMs. The MOMs Night Out events continue into the summer months when our monthly meetings are on hiatus.

Although it looks like we have a “season” that starts in September, new members are welcomed at any time. You can make your first event a business meeting or a social event or even the fall sale — whatever suits your schedule.
